| Why You Need House Address Numbers |
|
|
If you are looking for my house, you shouldn’t have too much trouble.
The house address numbers on my home are large and very easy to see.
That doesn’t mean that everyone can find me though, and I would think
that if I didn’t have these that no one would find me.
Every house should have these
displayed where they are easy to read, and this isn’t just so friends
can find your house. It is also something that helps to protect your
family.
House address numbers are essential if you want someone to find you. If you order in food, the delivery person has to find your home. Even with the large house address numbers that I have on my front porch, they sometimes still can’t find me and have to call to see where I am. If you want packages delivered to you on time, you had better be sure the delivery person can find you.
Your mailperson may just know who you are, but if they have a substitute, you may find that they can get confused. If your mail doesn’t seem to get to you in a timely fashion and you don’t have numbers on your house, you have no one to blame but yourself. Probably the most important reason to have large house address numbers on your home is so that emergency services can find you. Though you may think a fire will be easy to find, it might not be so easy for the EMTs to find you if someone has had an accident or a heart attack in your home. The house address numbers are there so that anyone can find you if you call with an emergency or perhaps if you need the police to come quickly. You don’t want to have to stand outside to wave them down, though this won’t hurt. House address numbers can be found anywhere, and they won’t cost you a lot of money. You can get the kind that is nailed on, and those might be the best kind to get. That way you know your house address numbers are securely affixed to a porch post or to the siding. If you get the adhesive type, make sure they are secure and that they are protected from the weather somewhat. Keep an eye on them to make sure they are still there, and be sure they are lit by your outside light if someone needs to find you at night. |
