I ventured on to the state Oregon to attend school at Portland State
University about six years ago. The first thing that I observed about
this state was all the greenery. Of course, I've seen plenty of trees,
bushes and grass before, but there was something different in Oregon.
I
found out later that it was due to the efforts of the Portland Oregon
landscaping crews. The people of this state seem to be obsessed with
their lawns and greenery. I think that they have a sprinkler system on
every patch of grass. I know that was in for a serious landscaping
experience when I first stepped on this state.

I was also shocked when I saw all the sprinklers come on around me during my first visit. I thought that I was being attacked by the numerous little fountains of water. Okay, so maybe I’m just joking, but I know that you get my point about the abundance of the sprinkler systems. However, I wished that they also invested well into the central air. I couldn't believe that this wasn't standard in all the homes in Oregon. We all have central air in my home state because it's part of the home or apartment package.
